The Adobe Photoshop CC Visual Design Essentials Course follows the syllabus for the corresponding Adobe Certified Professional examination(Formally Adobe Certified Associate / ACA) and, as well as being suitable for beginners, who wish to become proficient in Photoshop’s wide variety of image editing features, the course can be used both as a primer or as a refresher course prior to taking the CertifiedProfessional examination.

Adobe’s Photoshop CC is the world’s leading visual design software, setting the standard for digital imaging excellence with powerful image editing features available through an intuitive user interface. With Photoshop CC you can work with raw images from your digital camera as well as with leading image formats, such as JPEG, TIFF, and PNG, and this course teaches you everything you need to know about the Photoshop software, providing you with all of the skills required to demonstrate proficiency in digital imaging skills.
For the absolute beginner, the course is self-paced and highly-practical, teaching you the fundamental concepts and features through hands-on exercises and assignments and, if you have previous Photoshop experience, we investigate and try out many advanced features, such as Content-Aware Fill, creating placeholders with the new Frame tool, and advanced filters.
The course comes with the wide range of photographs you will need to practice all of Photoshop’s important features and, by the end of the course, you will have worked with images in a wide range of popular file formats, including Photoshop’s proprietary PSD format, and you will be using Photoshop like a professional.
We start with the basic theory, explaining about bitmaps and vectors, pixels and resolution, the RGB and CMYK colour models, and colour management settings, and go on to introduce all of the important Photoshop tools, including the wide range of painting, editing, selection, type, layer, and filter tools, finishing up with a great Camera Raw project and a Web Design project.

Based on the proven "learn by example” principle which, as the name implies, provides real-world examples to illustrate a particular topic or technique, the courses are delivered through our on-line training portal via a standard web browser, such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, or Safari. The lesson notes are delivered through slides giving you the required information to work through each lesson and there are student files you will download to work on so you are putting into practice what you are learning. You will also be supported by a personal tutor who is available to provide feedback on your work at any time throughout the period of study.

Adobe Certified Professional Exam Voucher (£156.00 - Optional)
All students have the option to purchase Adobe Exam Vouchers for £156.00 which will cover the cost of the exam at participating exam centres.We keep this fee optional as notall learners will want to complete the Adobe exams.voucher to make sure a suitable participating exam centre is available.
A voucher would be required for each Adobe exam you sit. An additional proctoring fee will also need to be paid to the exam centre for each exam arranged.
Please Note: It is the students responsibility to source suitable exam centres. We advise researching exam centres prior to purchasing an exam
Prerequisites
You should have a working knowledge of your computer and operating system, including accessing the frequently-used menus and commands, and how to open, save, and close files.
Computer & Software Requirements:
To complete this course you will need a Windows or Apple Mac PC with at least 1gb of spare disk space and a subscription to Adobe’s Photoshop CC software, with both Photoshop CC and Bridge CC installed.
Course Duration & Online Support
You can start this course at any time, and you would be registered for a one-year period. You also have access to a personal tutor who can be contacted by email. Your tutor is available to assist with any queries and to mark your assignments.
As the course is self-study, you can complete it as quickly as you like. Support extensions are available if students do not complete the course within the one-year period.
Assessment
You will be assessed on the completed assignments contained in the training programme. The coursework consists of a series of image processing exercises, layers and paths exercises, colour processing and filtering exercises, a video production project with animation and special effects, and a web design project. At the end of the course, you submit your coursework to your course tutor for assessment and feedback.
Certificate of Completion & Adobe Photoshop ACP Certification
On successful completion of this course, students will receive ourAdobe Photoshop CC Essentials Certificate of Completion with feedback from your tutor and students can also apply for theAdobe CertifiedProfessional (ACP) Visual Communication Using Adobe Photoshop CC exam.
Adobe ACP Examinations must be sat at a registered Certiport Testing Centre. You can locate testing centres and schedule appointments on their Website:http://www.certiport.com/.
When searching for exam centres on the Certiport Search Facility, you should choose the Program, Version and Exam from the right-hand menu before adding your location.
Exam fees can vary, but an Adobe Exam Voucher (Valid for 12 Months) can be purchased from our website for £156.00. We usually advise buying a voucher when you are ready to sit your test, although you can add this to your order when you purchase your course. Exam Centre's will also usually charge an additional proctoring fee (approximately £15.00 to £25.00) for sitting exams.
