"When I think of Black History Month, two things come to mind. The first is the incredible achievements of African Americans throughout history. I have a great love for music and dance, and I admire the creative genius of the pioneers of R&B and jazz music. Black musicians have shaped much of today’s sounds, and I’m always looking to learn about the work of past and present artists. Black History Month is also a time of deep reflection, and the second thing I often think of is the work that still needs to be done for us all to foster equity and diversity. To have conversations around diversity, we must have the perspective of a diverse group of people. The more representation and voices we have at all levels in our schools, workplaces, communities, and beyond, the further we’ll progress. It takes several years to enact true change, and though we have quite a bit of work to do, we can get there."#BlackHistoryMonth #BehindTheCube #RedCubeProud
