Prep time

Total time

Author: Desiree Campbell

Recipe type: Playdough

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Flour
  • ¼ Cup Salt
  • 1 Packet Kool-Aid
  • ⅔ Cup Water *You will end up using between ½ and ⅔ cup.
  • 1 Tb. Oil

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, the salt, and the Kool-Aid together.
  2. Boil the water.
  3. Add the oil to the water.
  4. Pour some of the water into the dry ingredients and mix with a spoon. Keep adding water and work the dough until the color is uniform and feels like playdough.

Notes

*Don't feel like you need to use the full ⅔ Cup water. The amount you'll use will be between ½ and ⅔ of a cup. Store the playdough in an air tight bag or these small containers. This recipe will fill 6 {2 oz.} mini cups.

I thought it would be fun to putthe playdoughinside of Easter Eggs for Easter.

If you want to do this make sure to first add tape to the inside of the eggs.

The eggs come with small holes and you want to cover them so theybecome air tight,

this way the play doughdoesn’t dry.

I found these clear small 2 oz. containers in the paper plate aisle at Wal-Mart.

They came in a bag of 50 cups with lids.

I ended up using42 of them… I know, I made7batches of playdough, onefor each Kool-Aid color.

If you decide to use these small mini cups divide the playdough in 6 equal balls.

Each batch should give you enough playdough tofill sixcontainers of one color.

Give this Kool-Aid playdough recipe a try with your little kiddos.

Mine loved to help me mix the dough.

A fun thing about it is that youwon’t know what color it is going to turn outuntil the water is added.

The little ones get so excited trying to guess what color the playdough is going to be.

It is so pretty and so much fun to make!

I hope you give it a try!

Here is another fun project that my kids loved.

So we made a little freeprintable toppers that you can use to decorate the small playdough cups

or use them as cupcake toppers for Easter. Click here to print them!

Hey there, love these colors! In fact I love your web space here because of all the gorgeous colorful projects you display! …Just curious before I try this: Did you purposely not put any Cream of Tartar (or Canada here CREME de Tartar lol) in the recipe, or is it forgotten?
